    Ogle County Illinoi is just a little to far for me and pops Pumpkin Orange, 50 Chevy short bed jacked up backwards, WHAT A RIDE.[:D]

    For 25+ years I hunted about 4 miles away from the Byron Drag Strip, in between Byron and Leaf River. That hunting area and fishing in the Rock River down by Oregon are two of the few things I miss about Illinois...?

    Now the Wife tells me I have a date with the 350 Vortec going to the machine shop, spun number 4 rod bearing. Never had that happen.

    That's what happens when your hard on equipment. Looks like larger oil pan on the 4by.

    Actually I screwed up its the following weekend 9th Annual Meltdown Drags July 20th,21st. & 22nd but its there on the schedule. I got my weekends mixed up.

    I do like the old gasses .. we went to the good guys car show past weekend in Columbus Oh they were also having the night of thunder ( old dragsters and alters funny cars ) but we could not stay to watch [:(]

    Used to have eighth mile in Pevely, but have three eighths dirt oval that is always FUN night.

    Gateway Motorsports Park is a great place to participate or just watch. But running what you brought was always fun to run the older classic cars just for Fun.

    The St. Louis Missouri, Illinoi area has quite a few Drag Strips and Dirt Tracks. You can never go wrong to go and just watch and support your local and traveling Racers.[8D]
