Is that like Hen of the woods? Not familiar with it, but I would think cool in the fridge would work?

Paper bag or wrapped in paper towels or a towel in the refrigerator. Never store them in a plastic bag, Maitake mushrooms also known as Hen of the Woods, or Sheepshead mushrooms needs of breathable container to let the gases escaped they produce, plus they need something absorbent to keep them dry. They will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator if properly stored.

If you purchased the mushrooms in a plastic container, that container should be okay to store it. It is designed to vent the gases the mushroom produces

    How to dehydrate mushrooms
Clean the mushrooms: wash and get all the dirt off using a brush scrape any big Chunk'sof dirt with a knife if needed.
    Slice the mushrooms 1/4" thick
Arrange on dehydrator mesh sheets in a single layer.
Dehydrate at 130F for 4-8 hours or until completely dry and crispy.
Store dried mushrooms in airtight containers in a dark, cool place

To rehydrate them, just place them is some in water and tell me absorb the water will take about 4 to 6 hours to rehydrate this way. Or if you're using them in soup, throw them in boiling water or stock until they rehydrate. The hot method is a lot faster than soaking them in cold liquid

Perfect instructions, very easy, does not take hours to rehydrate, but minutes. I store them in glass fruit jars.
