Quality issues American brands chinese made

Took a coverall set back Wells Lamont, damn shame nice warm suit seemed well made but the zipper was the achilles heel failed on the first try, very cheap zipper for a outdoor weather work outfit.

Bought a Vortex Viper doesn't work out of the box sent back.

No matter how "inexpensive" things may seem to be if they don't work or fail they are not cheap.

I was researching red dot halo sights and it seems even the Trijicon and EO tech are having issues with quality, and they are not cheap.

    The only sports shoes I buy are Made-In-USA New Balance. Many folks in China (where many New Balance shoes & parts are made) also insist on buying only those made in the USA.

    My LL Bean parkas are made in China, & they are as good as those that used to be made in the US. If your company insists on high quality, & is willing to pay the cost, the Chinese can make outstanding quality merchandise.

    I bought a pair of Irish Setter boots/Bass Pro shops. Made in China, but still spendy. Piece of crap. Fell apart almost immediately. :-( soles came apart.

    The real trick is trying to figure out just where things are made!!

    A lot of stuff may be put together here but use Chinese made components!
    The package can say built in the USA on all of this stuff and most Americans buy and think they are being patriotic![:0]

    Great news - the clothes I looked at are no longer asian.

    I buy "pre Owned" US Military boots on that auction site. The military ( not "military style") boots are US made. And they cost much less than buying the cheap Chinese ones. The best pair of boots I've ever worn I bought for $25, shipped. They were well broken in and only needed laces. A great deal - I wear them daily.

    I've got several pair. Cold weather, hot weather, street toe. One pair I've had for over 10 years.

    wife bought me a pair of lightweight ankle boots with three velcro straps... about 1/2 the weight of regular justin slip on work boots... may be easier on wore out ankles and knees....hope it helps.. LL Bean made in vietnam
