best time to buy a tv

i don't shop much. and I know its the crazy season.
but..... when should I buy a tv? mine just fried after 28 years and the wife is crawling the ceiling wanting one.
now? after ho ho day?
or before new year?

    Lots of sales going on all the time. I bought one back in July just because I found a good price. Shop around. Someone has a decent one for a good price out there.

    The retailers are selling right now at good prices to me RIGHT now. We picked up a Samsung 65" that someone bought and the box was open but nothing amiss, I asked how much? After they inspected it and nothing was wrong, they took another 200 off it.
    BTW, get a Smart TV with all the features. Pay the extra, just cause.

    Most any time you can get a 40" for $400. If you need a 60" a little over $600. You got 28 years out of the old back and white, step up.

    Noticed a 50" smart LG on sale for $329 at best buy. Not sure LG is a good brand. Never owned one.

    At the posted "ball park" price of $400 for a 40 inch ($10.00 per inch) I'd get more inches, TV's that are bigger are better.

    They are on sale now .... not because of Christmas but because the new models will be out in Feb/March.
    And, like I mention above, there are huge deals right before the super bowl.

    Just put on some boots get a cart and go to Walmart and fight the crowds. It don't get any ruder anywhere until you enter one of those places when the folks are shopping for Christmas.

    I bought myself a 55" ROKU television by TCL from Amazon. It is stupid easy to use. I liked it so much I bought one for my mom for Christmas! She got it a few weeks ago and loves TULI and ROKU channels. She cut her TV bill by over 80 bucks a month!

    Buy it now, make wife happy.

    Discovered something yesterday. Son made it home for Christmas just after my GPS broke. I will NOT pay for data on my phone so he decided to add a GPS to my gift list. Hen researched them at Walmart.com and found one with very few do-dads. We went to the store as they said they had one in stock. When we got there we found the $119 spot on the shelf was empty but he had already made arrangements to purchase it so they had removed it from "stock".

    Long story shorter: since he had looked on line first the $119 GPS was sold to him for $89.95. Look for stuff at the story but also check "on line" prices.

    Been doing a lot of house cleaning, so trip to the dump yesterday and today.

    Today there were 18 TVs, all looked to be in working condition.

    I'd get on that list site, or fb and find a local buy/sell group, and advertise looking for one cheap. Lots of folks upgrading for the holidays.
