Interesting veteran story
My father in law (92) meets weekly with a few other WW2 vets to have coffee.
It turns out that one of the fellas he was talking to was one of the mechanics that helped recover and return the Akutan Zero to air worthy status so that the Army Air Corps could evaluate it's flight characteristics.
There were Zeros shot down at Pearl Harbor, but the Aleutian Zero was the first completely intact aircraft that the US had a chance to put in the air.
I think that man must have had an interesting career.[:)]

wish i had listened to some of the stories more years ago ....most are gone now...some were really awesome tales of endurance...RIP...with honor 0
