Evacuation Route Crowded

I just came off hwy 40 between Wilmington and Burgaw,N.C. and it is packed with people leaving the storm.

    They will make it all west bound if it gets worse. I-26 in SC from Charleston to Columbia is all west bound now.

    FEMA loads are already starting to pop up, may be some big money involved going to the Carolina coasts real soon. Not me, I don?t like crowds and traffic that these storms muster.

    I passed a convoy of Linemen headed North on 81. A bunch of f-ing HEROs right there..every one of them!

    I just drove I 10 from Mobile to San Antonio. All along the road I passed convoy after convoy of electric repair guys, headed east.
    From Baton Rouge to the Texas line I passed at least 120 electric trucks all headed towards the hurricane.

    I guess these guys were all coming from the Houston area it was raining I couldn't read the names on the trucks.

    Lots of big trees in N. Carolina and Virginia these guys are going to have their hands full.

    They are staging a ton of Duke Energy vehicles here in Central Florida, getting ready to head north. A buddy of mine is a Duke supervisor.

    Yep - responded to many storms and watched them guys work.
