Original vs transfer bar $

After a few +++ Beers last Saturday, I became the new owner of a Ruger Single Six.
I dated it to close to 1963.
I?ll pick it up Wednesday.
While no matter what, I know I got a good deal and could easily make my money back+,
I was wondering what you guys thought the price difference, if any, of an unmolested early Ruger versus an early one that had been sent in for the transfer bar?

    With the early ones at least, Ruger returned the original parts along with the modified gun. A lot of those got tossed though.

    I have Colts in my collection too, but transfer bars are what go in my holster. The collector value is less with the 'up grade,' but how much varies with the guy who wants to buy it.

    I have something like two dozen old-model Single Sixes and Bearcats so try to keep a close eye on values. I agree -- about $100 less for the modified guns, maybe even a bigger difference if the original parts are missing.

    the transfer bar is NOT a big hickey hanging on the side...out of sight and safer carry for recreation or work..keep the original oldies for show & tell got both
