Mollie Tibbetts, Iowa college student, found dead

CBS News has learned that Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts has been found dead, just over a month after she was reported missing.

The 20-year-old was last seen July 18, jogging near her home in the central Iowa town of Brooklyn. Her disappearance set off a massive investigation and weeks of fruitless searches.

Her family reported her missing the day after she disappeared when she didn't show up for work.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

    O B Juan, do you know the answer?? I'll bet that the number of Mexicans killed by U.S. citizens while in Mexico is less than 1% of the other way around. Maybe even less than 0.1%. But I could be wrong.

    Unfortunately we have no death penalty in Iowa. This was posted by a relative of mine who retired as a guard at our maximum security prison in Ft. Madison:
    Iowa will reward him with free housing, central air, 3 meals a day, showers, education, medical care, dental care, psychological counseling, clothing, etc. He will even get Christmas candy and a cookout for the 4th of July. He'll be able to play basketball, softball, lift weights, and bond with hundreds of other Mexican nationals in our state prison system.

    Perhaps deportation to a maximum security Mexican prison would be the best justice...assuming they would not let him go.

    per an agreement with messico if a mex citizen commits a capital crime in the USA and makes it back home they will NOT send him back here unless the USA takes the death penalty OFF the table... a mex citizen stabbed a 18 year old gal to death in El Dorado ks and fled south dumping her body just 3 mile north of our lake home in eastern Kansas..he made it back to messico and was found by messican police in NE old messico but the local law not interested...the US took the death penalty OFF the table and the FEDERAL TROOPS went in to his home area with jeeps mounted with 50 cal machine guns and snatched him up..his family tried to hold him there but were outgunned and he was taken without a battle..he now resides a lifetime of taxpayer expense in El Dorado Ks state prison....
