Military Vehicles
How many of you Ladies and Gents own any kind of military iron?
Right now I own a 84 CUCV but in the past I have had other MV's.
M38, 151 I had for a short time. I have to get the wife to post up for me.

I have restored and overhauled a couple of vehicles in my short lifetime. I had thought about restoring/ fixing up an ole humvee or army jeep for S&G's. How much should i expevct to pay for an old jeep or humvee and i would not think that the parts would be all that expensive since they are military vehicles. And would i be able to finda selection ofthese at an army depot or vehicle graveyard area.songdog

A Jeep, a Mule, a cannon (homemade 1/2 scale), and a Meep (really doesn't count, but it is fun).

Used to own a Jeep. Used it when going out to cut wood on wood lot.
That thing would go through anything. One time went through big low area of water, had water half way up the doors and that thing just keep on going.
In fact one time was in the woods and ran over a stump with wood bees. They swarmed me, I jumped out of jeep with it in gear it kept going until it was up against a tree and then just sat there spinning the tires.0 -

I LOVE the Mule. I could make very good use of that, hauling wood out of the mountains around here. I back up to a 8000 acre ATV/UTV tract. The enterance is literally at my door. Always loved those.
Sent that photo to my next door neighbor/Buddy. He has several Military Jeeps. An M38 (1951) and a 1946 amongst others. A WWII Ambulance etc. He liked/appreciated it. We would both love to have the Mule. Wish I could post photos, but GB is not too user friendly, in that respect. I do not do the image hosting thing. I have to go through Chrome. WAY too invasive.0 -

Mine is retired and doesn't do real work anymore.
Now it spends time hauling my cannon in parades.0 -
some chinee compay is building adult size mini jeeps with 250cc gas engines but i would want to see one up close first..might be fun ?? 0
