I wonder if Senate Democrats thought...

The fix was in with the FBI? Seems like they agreed to the last minute Kavanaugh investigation real quick and put all their eggs in that basket. I think maybe their people in the FBI promised the investigation would find something that would at least delay the vote until after the election...and then it didn't happen. Perhaps the deep state FBI employees have abandoned the counter Trump efforts.

    No, The Dems know their allegations were bogus, they were only seeking to delay, and continue to delay by continually changing their demands. The Dems are used to the old Republicans, they expected the Republicans to cave, and continue caving. They didn't count on Trump bolstering Mitch and Mitch pushing back. Plus the Dems didn't count on public opinion developing against them. They starting seeing that they were losing the PR war this week.

    Also have the considered they ramifications of this for future work in the court. If Kavanaugh is at all vindictive, it could perhaps sway him in his judgments. I know that it shouldn't matter, in a perfect world, but he is human and what was done to him and his family would be hard to forgive. You reap what you sow.

    What I have been thinking from day one. It would be hard for me or any other half sane person to put that aside, even when they need to temper their decisions.

    Obama filled the bureaus, govt agencies as well as the military with partisan hacks. It will take years to clean the mess up.

    Same method of operation with Clinton.

    Party loyalty, ideology, and the willingness to break laws to advance their ideology are requisites to be a member of DEMOCRATs cabinet or agency.

    Expertise, honesty, experience will get you fired.

    Shilowar- Yes, the Dems knew the accusations were bogus. What I am saying is that THEIR people in the FBI working against Trump may have promised to help them by faking something against Kavanaugh but then they didn't come through.
