    Foreigners as well. They are bringing in plane loads of Eastern European people and putting them in trucks. Black and white english speaking American born truck drivers are becoming the minority. As long as the ATA keeps screaming DRIVER SHORTAGE we will get more and more immigrant truck drivers and hastily trained people out here making the roads less safe. Unreal.

    And yes I?m all for immigration (not fence jumpers) but these people are getting minimal training, sometimes less than Americans because they were truck drivers in thier homeland (ever watch Russian truck videos??) and being turned loose.

    Then add in the ?clock racing? due to the HOS and ELDs and it just keeps getting worse. The roads are less safe today due to all of this. Hell, one company just got approved to send 18 year olds interstate and rumor has it (I have mot verified it) that people on a learners permit don?t need to be babysitter and can drive while the trainer is sleeping.

    And you wonder why I bitch

    Here is where this happened near Anderson SC. The guy was driving south along the shore of the little lake and he tried to turn right on Broadway Lake Road which is the road that goes over the dam. His rear wheels are hanging right over the spillway.

    I don't know what he was doing in that neighborhood in the first place I don't see any truck terminals there.

    That also looks like a Utility Trailer, judging by the wingplates and cross bracing, sliding suspension, (set completely to the rear,) etc. His cab is blocking up front where our logo would go.

    I guess this will be a "Field Repair." Ahh,........Job Security. [:D]

    Saved by the landing gear or that whole rig would be upside down in the water. I'm still trying to figure out what he was doing to end up like that. Best guess is he realized he was getting deeper into "no trucks" land, and tried to back across the bridge to onto the road where the suv is parked, and get turned around.
    That wasn't gonna happen with the tandems all the way back on a 53ft trailer.

    Aw, you guys are too harsh. He is not in the lake, he is just over the lake. Could happen to anyone.

    How the hell did he do that anyway?[?] Turning from that little road with the parked cars maybe?
