    Yep, TIMING, and who is looking at that time ,can be great can be not so great. I have seen that more than I can count on some auctions.Good for you.

    You see it works, starting it lower will generate interest. If you start it at your bottom, which is still high then most folks won't be inclined to bid, you have to gin up competition and desirability. So you got close to your original starting price of $1350. Timing when your auction ends is important too...not too early(while folks are still working), not too late(when folks are going to bed), definitely not on a Friday or Saturday evening...folks are usually out socializing or doing family activities. Just my thoughts on it.

    I end mine on Fri, Sat, or Sun usually. I like to end them around 6pm but frankly with everyone having a smart phone these days I'm not sure how much the time matters anymore. I wouldn't want to end during a work day. Just my opinion.

    Just another example of, outside of a fairly wide range, how meaningless it is to ask "what is a _____ worth?" The value of any collectable, or even just used, piece is whatever the owner is willing to take for it and what a buyer will pay. The best ones are when a guy just bought something and wants to know if he got a good deal. Hey Bud, YOU just established what that particular example is worth when you bought it.
