Macron and the French Establishment.

Started as a protest against a new fuel price hikes, these hikes AFTER a one year rise of 23% for diesel fuel.

The price of diesel, the most commonly used fuel in French cars, has risen by about 23% over the past 12 months to an average of ?1.51 (?1.32; $1.71) per litre, its highest point since the early 2000s.
(Oh, the new hike was for the environment).

After days of riots Macron "caved" and decided NOT to increase tax on fuel,,, protests have said,, No way Jose,, you had your chance and blew it,, get out of office.

Protesters marching along the Champs-Elys?es on Saturday (Dec. 1) could be heard chanting slogans like ?We are running the revolution? and ?Macron to the Bastille.? The Arc de Triomphe bore a message in spray paint: ?We have chopped off heads for less than this,? a reference to the death by guillotine of king Louis XVI and his wife, Marie-Antoinette.

    The problem there, as here, is that the rioters are being both goaded and paid by outside interests. And some are rioting just for the chance to loot.

    Macron caved in, but that will only make the rioters make more demands. Riots will actually worsen, and Macron will be forced to make more concessions. It's a death spiral.

    The whole French debacle just illustrates how ignorant these French protesters and voters really are:

    Macron did exactly what he said he was going to do: Enact a carbon tax, as supported by the EU. Further, Macron made it clear when he was campaigning he fully understood climate change was real and promised to do something about "Global Warming".

    Macron is a DEMOCRAT. Voters elected a DEMOCRAT. DEMOCRATs raise taxes at every opportunity and believe money and wealth are state property. DEMOCRATs also despise fossil fuel.

    So Macron places a heavy tax on gas and the people who voted for him are pissed. Unbelievable.

    That's right about the spiral. But there are way TO MANY joining in and the folks giving support are not normal rioters, the police and Firemen appear to be joining. One video said firemen opened a toll way and cars were entering for FREE. Numbers I heard quoted were 200 to 300 thousand.

    PLUS: What do the yellow vests signify? Not antifa for sure. The E.U. has been a slowly warming pot that is starting to boil.

    That's what the outside interests hoped for. When it becomes a general revolution and the government falls, guess who will have their boy ready to step up and take over? The French will get rid of Macron only to get somebody even farther left and much more tyrannical.

    When Venezuelan President Chavez died his handpicked successor, Nicolas Maduro took the reins and has held them until this day. Venezuela is a communist dictatorship.

    While the radical left is participating in these "protests" they are in the minority.

    Looks like I got out just in time, and they are telling me Costa Rica is dangerous.[:0]

    For what it is worth, we liked Paris and the French far more that we expected to.
