Used my Senior Privilege for the first time!
I went to breakfast at iHOP over the weekend. I just had my 55th birthday this month.
As I was skimming the menu (normally I just get the peach pancakes--Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity) I saw the senior menu started at 55.
Wow. I finally "made it". I ordered a senior menu item!

Now that you're older, you ought to be wiser. Enough so to not eat at IHOP, for example.

I do that all the time, I'll go to a fast food restaurant that give seniors discount. And Order a kids meal so that I can get the toys for my grandkids...0 -

Just my 2 cents why I don't do IHOP and here's why, I'm still waiting for someone to contact me per there e-mail (6/21/18) apparently their IHOP Guest Relations Department is as bad as their service..
On Father?s Day (6/17/18) we were in Huntsville, AL and our group (11 people) stopped at the IHOP on University Dr. (IHOP 4455) for brunch. The dining experience was not the best we have had a IHOP!!
I ordered the Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes ?Four world famous buttermilk pancakes become our version of 3 milks bread when they are layered & topped with creamy vanilla sauce, then topped with more vanilla sauce & a drizzle of dulce de leche caramel sauce.? What I received were 4 pancakes with some caramel sauce drizzled on top. I mentioned it to our Server(XXXXXXX) and she returned with a container of vanilla sauce, not quite the same thing, at least she tried to help the problem.
The next thing we know our Server spills ice tea on one of the ladies in the group, she apologized and you could tell she was quite sincere and embarrassed about what had happened, we told her we realize accidents happen, she tried to dry her off as best she could, again she tried to fix the problem.
When 2 other Servers brought the orders to the table one of the ladies told him it was not what she had ordered, it was something completely different. Your server then told her in a rude and confrontational manner that it was what she had ordered. I can assure you that the lady knew what she had ordered.
I realize that it was a busy day at IHOP, but the only person we had dealings with that seemed customer orientated that day was our original Server.

The last time I ate at an IHOP was much the same. Food not what ordered, and the rest was poorly cooked and looking like it been thrown onto the plate from across the kitchen. When I got an answer to my complaint email, the store manager offered us one free meal. If we bought two others.
I told them I wouldn't eat there again if they paid me.0 -
Last time I was at IHOP ordered something like a Grand Slam with scrambled eggs. Never again. It was like I was back on Metformin. Like Howards moms once said "like an upside down volcano". 0 -
Our IHOPs out here in Omaha are pretty good. I love the pancakes and the stuffed french toast.

Darn near all of 'em. Check the back of the menu to see if they have a senior section. Usually, that's about 3/4 of the regular serving size for 2/3 the price. And anybody can order it. Besides, those smaller portions are closer to what we ought to be eating, anyway. 0 -
First and last time I ate at a IHOP was in 1982, never saw a need to go back.

I heard a Jeff Foxworthy ad yesterday where he was going through the similarities between kids and seniors. And one of the bits was how they both have their own special menus.0 -
I hate to admit it but after working most of my adult life in a hot greenhouse, I have aged like a piece of jerky!
I have been asked if I was a senior since I was still in my late 40's[:0] and after so many of these (to me insults) I have taken advantage of many discounts offered. Most if not all have never even asked to see my ID!0 -
Our closest Ihop is about 30 miles away but I stop when in area. Top notch place. Must be an exception.[?] 0 -
I love iHOP and Denny's when I'm doing long road trips. Breakfast anytime!
