Amazon's new HQs announced...........

The world's largest online retailer on Tuesday selected Long Island City in New York City's Queens borough and National Landing (a new name for the Crystal City neighborhood) in Arlington, Virginia, outside Washington, DC. The picks, which were already widely anticipated for the past week, are expected to each land 25,000 well-paid jobs.

This could be good or bad for the states selected IMO.

    Didn't take New York long to start complaining about the bad deal they got from Amazon. Guess the state feels they got the 'shaft' and Amazon got the gold rather than the other way around.

    That's what politicians say so it must be true.

    I saw "Amazon's new HQs announced......." and thought, "What liberal cesspool are they moving to?" Then saw, Long Island City in New York City's Queens borough. No surprises there.

    There is an Amazon hub about 7 mile from the house. Employs a lot of people .

    New York is offering tax credits to any business that move in. Now the New Yorkers are complaining that this is welfare for the rich. What a joke.

    Yep, I love it. 10 years of no state taxes. After 10 years if Amazon is still around, they can pack up and leave.

    The real truth: The voters are twice as stupid for electing these morons and if they were up for election again, they would vote for them again merely because of the (D) following their name on a ballot..

    Also Ocarsio-Cortez is fit to be tied over the deal. Give her credit for being smart or she has not been around long enough to know what cronyism is.

    Part of how these crooked tax loving DEMOCRATs operate. Certainly they are going to get that money back and it is usually comes from the morons who voted them in, not the cronies.

    Boss Kuomo cozying up to Bezoes Billions ...itll go a long way to his bid for the white house and it sure cant hurt the amazon monopoly to get friends in high places. Where are all the tax breaks for the NYS businesses already struggling to get by here????

    Not so sure about the "well-paid jobs".
    Saw an amazon billboard while passing through orygone last week.
    It boasted about jobs at amazon paying $15-$17 per hour. Doubt that will buy a latte in most progressive cesspools, much less pay the rent.

    These are jobs at headquarters offices, not box fillers. Most will be tech and computer engineer jobs. Said to average around $75K.
