Good day a gun show.

The Little Rock show is dying on the vine. Only about 2/3 of table space in use and very low attendance. Been seriously going downhill for a couple years. I think maybe they should only schedule 2 shows a year and see if that boosts interest. Doing about 6 a year now and they are getting pathetic.

Anyway, I did go and didn't have cash or interest in another gun but I did score some reloading goodies. Bought a 1 pound can of Unique for $14 and 3 bricks of CCI primers for $70. I think I'm good on primers for a while...like maybe the rest of my life. Have 18 bricks on the shelf right now.

    Been to the Tulsa show twice but it's been a while. I keep inviting my friends in CA to come out to visit and go to Tulsa with me.

    The last gun shows I went to was the same over priced beat up scrap metal as the last ones I went to. Sorry, I am paying $8.00 to park and up to $8.00 to $12.00 to get in so I can look at the same junk as the time before. you all ways have a bunch of guys blocking the sellers table yacking about nothing and the sellers are allowing them to do it and they wonder why nobody is buying anything. And on top of that everything at the snack bar is $4.00 and up. Hot dog, can of Coke, glass of water, candy bar, popcorn $4.00. Need to use the bathroom ? You have to stand in line, so when it's your turn, you get to stand in a puddle of piss and there is no toilet paper EVER. Need to do a FFL transfer to buy or sell a gun. Dig deep in your wallet and be ready to spend 45 minutes to up to two or more hours to get it done. No thank you. I went to a gun show today in my own house and enjoyed every minute of it. Rant over.

    Unique for 14 dollars a pound, that is a steal. I paid 22 at the last show. Paid 25 for a pound of 2400. Did you hold a gun on the guy????[:0][:D]

    Doc, Last time I went to a gun show was this spring in Conway and the week or two before was LR. Was so pissed off, I made a vow I was done with shows in AR, unless I was going to go as a seller. I can only hope things begin to change.

    There was only one seller trying to empty his tables and everyone else behaving like Obama was still POTUS.

    Conversely 340 miles, in the DFW area, you have exactly the opposite. There are so many shows in the 50 mile radii from Arlington, you can go to a show almost every weekend. Competition is the norm and folks are actually trying to move inventory. My advice for anyone going to one of these show is to bring as much money as you can afford to lose.

    I go mostly to hang out with Wundudnee, worth a lot more to me than you are whining over. And I come home with stuff.[^]

    I'm going to go to one more gun show here in my home town. I'm planning to take a Cricket rifle I bought when my grandson was born. He never showed any real interest in shooting and is now 11 - too big for the Cricket if he does begin to show interest in shooting. It's unfired, in the box.

    I'm going to find a Dad and small kid in the parking lot and hand it to him.

    Good on you Rocky. When I go buy the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation table at the local shows, they always have a raffle for a rifle. I hand them a 20 and tell them to give 5 tickets to the first 5 kids that come by.
