Was listening to 60's on 6. But between Cousin Brucie driving me nuts and that they play almost the very same songs every day. Such as every night around 5 PM they would play Glen Campbell Wichita Lineman for 2 weeks.

In My area even radio stations are hard to find. While on the Harley I just listen to the Motor. But in my Car Nothing to listen to and I would be asleep. 0 -
we bought a couple new cars that had I think a year free last one around 2010
then it expired and got a email for a great deal do not recall the price but about 1/3 of normal .
so i paid the cost then got another email that said we used the funds to cover the last 6 months of service you have been receiving to continue service we need MORE MONEY [:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]
I emailed them back with a FO reply and never went back
we just do not spent that much time in the car and seldom ever listen to radio at home0 -

Sirius radio is great for traveling. You don't have to hunt for radio stations. We listen to channels 5, 6, and 7 which is for the 50s, 60s, and 70s music and also to Willie's Roadhouse for classic country music. There's never any commercials on the music stations.
For the past 3 years we've gotten a notice that the price was being raised so my wife calls and tells them to cancel our subscription and then they have always lowered the price each time to keep us from dropping it.0 -

Asfor Sirius XM, I've known more than one person that subscribed to it and when they didn't want it anymore, had one hell of a time to get UN subscribed......for some it took months as they kept billing the credit card.

I have not had that experience. When my six month special runs out I cancel in one phone call. If they offer another six month special I usually re-new, but I have cancelled waited a couple weeks and received another offer and re-upped. I re-newed it yesterday as a matter of fact. When I've cancelled, it has ended on the end date, shut off with no issues.0 -
most offensive bass turds on the air..bought a pickup once from a dealership and the former owner subscribed...i have NEVER opened an email, subscribed or contacted them in any way and they deluged mail with ads and the worst was phone calls every day, saturday evenings and sundays dinner time ...they either surf tag records at the court house or pay for dealer sales info ??? went on for over two years and if one rep had come to the door i would have used em for target practice... I HATE THEM 0 -
I actually had to change credit cards to keep them from billing me when I cancelled . then I would get constant phone calls from them saying I owed them money 0 -

Had the same problem with them. I did some inquiring and called one of the head managers to stop the calls.
I will never buy another vehicle with a black fin on top.0 -
The fin or other antenna is for AM, FM, AND Sirius.
Until you subscribe, the only folks who know you have a Sirius radio are at the dealer. I'm guessing that they get a kick back from Sirius if you extend the free trial.
The Boss just has to have Sirius in her car. I pay by the year, & go through the same routine every time: I phone & say "cancel my subscription", & the rep offers the usual $105/year rate for another year, & I say "OK".

Sirius is essentially top 40 radio in a variety of formats. The 40s plays the top 40 from the 40s, 50s, 60s, the same. Even the classical channels have a very limited play list considering what has been recorded.
Turned it off and never look back. I listen to CDS and mostly to MP3 CDS of audiobooks.0 -
Mine has 18 pre-set channels & I am hard put to find 18 I would want to listen to. Every once in a while they have a free sample period & I turn it on then. $5/mo is way more than it would be worth to me & they will triple it after 6 months. I suppose if I didn't spend most of my time on my bike I might bite & then cancel each 6 months until they offered another $5 deal.
Problem with TV is that since they went to the new fangled non-sense I can't get but 3 or 4 UHF stations. I used to be able to get all the Los Angeles stations & some days San Diego.0 -
Used to listen to the 'Bluegrass Gospel Train' on Bluegrass junction every Sunday on my way to the golf course.
When Sirius decided that $ 200.00 per year was a fair price, I cancelled. For the first 5 years, after cancelling they would offer me a $ 100.00 a year subscription, but would also jump to the $ 200.00 for the next year.
Finally got tired of the yearly conversation and just cancelled for good.
Miss the Bluegrass, but that's about it.0 -
Whatever you do don?t let them talk you into letting them ?give? you a radio. As soon as I heard the offer I smelled a rat. I should have told him to shove it up his ass sideways, but I didn?t want to be impolite and I didn?t want to listen to him for the rest of the day so I told him he could send the radio with the clear understanding I would toss it into the black hole in the basement and I didn?t want to hear any more ?offers?. He agreed.
Before I got the radio I started getting ?special offers? to activate it because I was their most valued customer and one hell of a nice guy. Then the daily phone calls started. I told him each time I didn?t want to hear any more offers. I had told him what the deal was. I told him each time he called I was willing to send the radio back, still sealed in the box. Next phone call I told him if I heard another word about the radio I was a FORMER customer. The phone calls continued but he never mentioned the radio again. Next call I told him if I got another call, no matter the subject, he could cancel my account before he dialed the phone. The phone calls stopped. That?s when the daily emails stated. I just treat them like any other spam. Delete without opening. Next rate increase I?m gone anyway.0 -
When I canceled, they price dropped to $89 a year. I kept it a couple more years at that price, then quit. They send me a quarterly offer, which never makes it out of the P.O. where my box is. 0
