Compare 1911s

I have a Springfield armory loaded stainless 1911.

Compared to a Colt series 70 which is better? and why.

    Colt has been making M1911/M1911A1s since 1911/1926.

    Springfields? Not so much.

    Colts increase in value.

    Springfields? Not so much.

    I had a Springfield 1911 a few years ago that was made in Brazil.The one I had was about Taurus quality.The Colt 70-80 series are like most other Colts,go up in value every day.The best 1911 I have found for the money are the Rugers.

    Some Colts go up in value, not all of them. I've got a New Agent I bought new 7 or 8 years ago and there is no way I would get what so paid for it...doesnt matter to me though, since I ain't selling it.

    As far as which is "better" I honestly can't say....but I'll take the Colt every time. I never claimed to be rational :)

    That?s the same as asking Chevy/Ford, 9mm /.45acp, etc.
