    Who here shoots this awesome round?

    I picked up yet another S&W shooter yesterday... A blue model 29-2 with target sights and wood target grips.

    Took it and the middle son to the range today...

    He and I are no wimps... BUT... We both have a light palm blister from shooting the 44Mag.

    I think I'll get some Pachmayr Rubber grips before we take it to the range again...

    Wow is not even enough word!!! [:D]

    My Favorite Handgun Cartridge follow by the 41 mag.

    I have had at least one 44 mag since I got my 1st one in 1976. I got a M29 Blued 4" just like Elmer Keith[;)]

    I was already reloading and casting bullets. I ordered a mold from lyman for the 250gr Kieth type and shot the hell out of that gun.

    I learned alot from that gun, I wish I still had it but I traded it for a 4" 629 that never shot as well especially with cast bullets[V]

    44 mag is great. As I get older the 44 specials are getting more use... Nice for reloads.

    I have 2 S&W a 29 and a 629 and 2 Rugers but I am thinking of getting rid of the Rugers,, The S&W are fun too shoot,, Both the Rugers hurt my hand after just a few rounds

    I sold a 5" 629 Classic a while back because I needed a car repair.
    I sill have the 6.5" 629 Classic Powerport and a 629 Mountain Gun so I think I"m OK without it.

    Now i have way too many .357s though. I had 5 or 6 and i got 6 or 7 when my Dad died.

    I have a number of 44 mags, Ruger, Smith, Thompson SS - but I still go back to my Ruger 41 mag - for some reason I love that round! Lots of punch yet not as much recoil.. JMHO
