    I never met him but I did know some folks who worked with him and they did not like him.

    Years ago they filmed an episode of Mattlock at the hospital I worked at . Myself and several other employees got to be extras on the set . Sat around for several days talking with the crew . To a man they all agreed that old Andy was the biggest sob they had ever had to work with . Folks in Manteo where he had a house seemed to have the same opinions of him. The flip side of that was as a young man he taught school in my hometown . He was universally loved by his students and you will not find anyone who has anything but praise for him from that time Guess fame and fortune changed him

    I saw most of that movie a few months ago planned on finding it and watch the entire movie . like him or hate him I have always heard both sides but never met him
    he made a good living acting I can say that
