Quality Free Stuff
I came in and my office manager says,"I bought two rifles this morning and this box of knives came with them. I figured you would want them." Right away I see a black Buck leather sheath which turned out to be a model 121 (Buck calls it "The Fisherman" with 5" blade). Next I spy an old Case lock back with yellow scales and upon further examination it's in good shape and nice and tight.The other two are a Chinese fixed blade and a cheap Schrade folder. There is also a leather Desantis belt slide holster and a Beretta mod 21 mag. Love free stuff!! Really love quality free stuff!!

I was dealing with a pawn shop one day that I buy guns from. My husband has a couple booths at antique stores and he likes to keep knives in his counters there....so I grab them up when I see a few decent things.
They had this bucket full of odd little knives. It was about the size of a big popcorn bucket at the movies. I asked how much the whole bucket was. He said he'd have to get $300 for the bucket. I counted them out and it ended up being less than $2 per knife. So I bought it. Larry had more fun with that bucket full of knives than you could believe.
The owner of the pawn shop was a little miffed when I told him I was getting the knives for about $1.80 each. He kind of froze and I could see the "I messed up" expression wash over his face.
There were a few decent knives in there.....a few Case Peanut knives....but a BUNCH of crap too.0 -
