Son ate the DRESSING the day before company came!
OK....this year a lot of our family is traveling, so our big get together will not be until next Friday. I had some clothes that my aunt might could use so she was planning on coming over Friday to visit. I told her I we would have a small Thanksgiving here when they came.
I ordered the typical spread from a local place and a guy that runs a HUGE smoker delivered a smoked turkey breast. Since we weren't getting together, but I had all the proper food I thought we would run a few plates over to Larry's parents and visit with them.
We still had a big foil pan filled with dressing here for our get together Friday.
Friday comes and I tell my Aunt to let me know when they are on the way so I can stick the pans of food in the oven to start warming. I get the message they are leaving.....reach into the fridge and the pan I pick up FEELS EMPTY! OMG!
I peel the foil back and GOOD GRIEF!!! There is a triangle shape portion of dressing left in the pan. I don't know what color my face was......but whatever happens after RED is probably a good guess.
I sent Larry to the store for stove top in case I needed it. I made potatoes and warmed up all the other things we had. It ended up being ok....lots of food for everyone, but I know now to put a chain around the fridge when I've got food for another day in it.

Did he know you were saving it for you're ain't? If he did, I wouldn't put a lock on anything except him. If he didn't, well then whose fault is it... The one that didn't let him know? Or him?
So did you let him know not to eat it?0 -
Next time look for Savannah Classics Cornbread Dressing in your grocery store. It's frozen but is pretty good dressing. Comes in a 4-1/2 lb. aluminum foil container ready for the oven. My wife dresses it up with chicken broth, sage, etc. They make several side dishes (green bean casserole, spiced apples, etc. 0 -

Yup. Thanksgiving was Thursday. Got no name on it it's oh well. You snooze you loose. Actually was he sleep eating? I hear that's a real thing.0 -
sleep eating is a valid legal defense.....except for taco bell 0 -
My boys when in their teens would leave the house looking like it was attacked by locusts.
Take them out for dinner- they'd have a large pizza as an appetizer.0 -

Why do you have to hate? [:0][B)][:D][}:)]0 -
He is house sitting for my daughter who is in Tennessee with her husbands family. I don't know if he forgot we were having company....or thought taking the food we did over to Larry's parents was the get together and all that was left were "leftovers". Who knows? It seems you can tell a 21 year old manchild something and he may hear exactly what you say......or something TOTALLY different. I quit trying to figure out how to translate things into what he might comprehend. 0 -

I've completely decided that kids aren't totally grown until they are around 23 to 26 years old, so I will give him about two more years before I really decide if we are done with the child-like events coming at random. I say this because neither of my girls have had anything I could say was a "youthful" mishap and that is their ages. (Plus 23 is around when I quit living like I was trying to prove I was still young.)0 -
LOL
just the way I was rased
I had a great aunt even in her 70's if one the kids ( 40 to 50 year old men ) stepped out of line they got a wack with a belt or her hand as they walked by her [:D][:D]
