    I recently found several large pots with nice plants in them on the edge of a hay field we cut.

    I thought about smashing them with the tractor, but I pretty much knew who they probably belonged to, so I didn?t want anything around the farm to turn up missing or damaged if you get my drift.

    Being a retired LEO I thought about making some calls, but I?m becoming more of a libertarian in my old age. NY is going to legalize it soon, and I could care less. Heck, those who use it are already out there driving around having a grand old time. We might as well get some tax benefit from it...[xx(]

    a farmer friend found a fresh planting of many plants along a fence row ( years ago ) the local sheriff came by .
    they pulled up all the pot plants .
    in there place the sheriff left a business card every so often in the holes
    told my buddy they could stake it out see who comes by to take care of the plants but was a waste of time .
    that his cards would let them know they could be watching [:D][:D] never seen another plant
