kids aaarghhhhh
went to get pressure washer from my daughter, I had to fix it last year for them as they let the gas sit in it for few years and at startup tried to start it with premix. well soninlaw said it was broke again and locked up and wouldn't start. I looked at it and the string was pulled out of recoil starter, motor would turn so brought it home to tinker with.
carb had gas in it from spring when son in law tried start it and pulled rope out. got the recoil rewound dang thing was popriveted to motor, drilled em out fixed it and put bolts in. rest of day tried to get carb clean soaked, sprayed with carb cleaner ect. finally called craftsman to get part number for carb as nothing on motor except briggs and stratton. no HP rating ect.
got hung up on/transfered to 7 different people before last guy said it was no longer in service and parts unavailable, I only wanted a part number for carb, he got snotty and said they weren't in business of giving out part numbers!!!
got mad went down to garage and got air compressor and cranked it up blew through the gas lines and float, carb flooded out had gas coming out of everywhere, I had filled gas tank with rubbing alchohol and laquer thinner to try and cut varnish. figured I had blown out the diaphram but put it back together and gave it few pulls, with exception of a lot of smoke it ran rather smooth, within 5 minutes smoke quit and idles rather smooth, didn't want to blow the thing out but had nothing to loose, did take plug out and let stuff blow out of it to. good to go till next year

Sounds like it would be cheaper off for you to tell them that you'll buy them gas for it so that you can make sure they use non-oxygenated fuel in it. That way you don't have to fix it everytime you on you use it
Sounds like it would only cost you a gallon per year as much as it gets used0 -

only if it has a beer wrapped in it.....
Remmy he knows better he has his own lawn service, it was one of his guys who put the 2 cycle mix in it while borrowing it this spring, I think I will just buy my own next spring0 -

it is his, seems like whenever I want to borrow it, I have to get it running, then it is never running when I need it again. like I said bruce this is it, I think I will buy my own then no one to blame but me.....[;)]0 -
Good lord man! Why the hell are you bothering to talk to people on the phone? 99.999999% of the info you need is ON THE INTERNET! Look it up! Easier/faster/cheaper/more accurate than talking to some jerk on the phone!

I have replaced the carbs on several small engines for other people and my self this year
I found a part number on the internet ( B&S) have part number stamped on them several places and go from there
go to flebay countless rebuild kits and for me I found carbs as cheap as the rebuild kits china has every one I have looked for covered and many dealers have them less than 20.00 in all the ones I bought so far all doing well no complaints0 -

because it isn't listed on the websight under the model number, no motor parts listed only parts for pump, as per motor there are no numbers on motor I could find anywhere, only thing left was 800 number for sears parts0 -

the 11th COMMANDMENT..Thou shalt not loan tools to ANYONE...i cranked up my gas power washer as a friend wanted to borrow it to do a short job...it started up and smoothed out and sprayed strong..he brought it back about 4 hours later and said it would not work..he hooked it to a hose where he was working without flushing hose..homeowner had mowed by hose and blew some grass clippings into the hose which promptly plugged the inline screen and dumby kept trying to make it work till it ruined the pump ...well that was a $100 dollar replace and remind me NOT to loan anything again 0 -
go to B&S web page they will info on finding the part number for the engine
and where to look for it
then go to a diagram of it ( the eng listed ) the diagram will have a exploded parts and you can find the carb number to look for also cross reference any newer numbers0
