I Have Fear
I have a deep down gut feeling Republican voter apathy will soon shows it's head, I don't like feeling this way......it seems the Democrats are strongly united and the Republicans are not.....if that's the case our country will forever be doomed [:(]....Damn, I hope I'm wrong.

GOP is fielding some weak candidates in some areas. Take Katie Arrington versus Joe Cunningham in South Carolina 1st district. Democrats are spending a fortune puttinh a p p young good looking guy advertising ONE popular position, failing to indicate he is open boarder Demcorat. Meanwhile the Republicans are letting Katie drown looking like a fool with bad ads and no money.
Seat will go Democrat too bad but we shoot ourselves in the foot.
She hammered Sanford but why in the HELL did the GOP have Sanford in that seat anyway!
SC Governors race not much better, McMaster sounds dumb when he speaks his opponent James Smith well funded highly creative ad's no mention of Democrat.

A month ago, I'd have agreed with you.
We'll add 2 or 3 seats in the Senate, and keep the house.
Dems traditionally do not turn out for midterms. They are demoralized after the Kavanaugh debacle. GOP voters are fired up and ready to come out swinging.
It won't be a "wave" election in the traditional sense, but it'll serve the same purpose.0 -

Well Hell, just on the recent Supreme Court situation we had quite a few spineless Republicans fence sitters who could've cared less about "proven guilty" which is a bed-rock of our constitutional rights. Clearly it's too many RHINO's pulling guard duty which is turning many Republican voters off [V]...the polls are way to close for comfort when it should be lop-sided...my opinion only.0 -

I find it sad that 99% of all the campaign advertising does not mention party affiliation.
For those of us that have been for term limits, finding "new blood" running that share our views and ideal's are basically nonexistent.
I find, at least in my area, the Nov. election is just another vote for the lesser of two or more evils. There are however several other important issues on the ballot that heed attention.0 -

It won't be because I didn't do my part. This God forsaken state is through but several local races our on tap including out US Rep. Will be getting my folks to the polls, come hell or high water. 0 -
Quite frankly republicans want everyone to ignore the 600 lb gorilla in the room. And that is, the only thing the republicans have to offer as a rally point is that they are not democrats.
The republicans simply do not believe in individual rights, free enterprise, limited government, or the constitution. They do not want to destroy it as fast as the democrats and that is really all they have to offer.
If the republicans lose positions it will not be do to apathy, it will be do to their own actions. A couple of years of very limited progress (Obama care was not overturned as promised) does not over ride decades of neglect and abuse.
If the republicans want the american people to rally behind them they need to give us something to rally behind.0 -

While the presumption of innocence is a bedrock of our criminal court system, is not mentioned in the U.S. Constitution. It is mentioned in the United Nation Declaration of Human Rights, however.0 -

I would be more than happy to vote for some qualified "Independents."
Screw the establishment, they have (for the most part) proved they are un-worthy of remaining/taking office.
I believe that is a Big reason POTUS Trump was elected.

my wife who turned very political last couple years
tells me ther is a huge movement ( word wide even ) called walk away
wher people are fed up with the political parties , telles me they report thousands joining every week
now even that it would take a miracle to dislodge the republicans or democrats .
JHHO no one wants to throw there vote away from the old standbys chance there current party loosing by going with a third party even if a better platform0
