Thank you very much. This time I'm doing back to back cruises: the first is week around the Mediterranean starting and ending in Barcelona, Spain. When the ship docks Sunday morning it will sail that same evening (with me on it) for Florida on a 13 day trans-Atlantic repositioning cruise. For the Navy guys out there 13 days at sea is nothing, but that is a long time to be on a ship for us landlubbers. It does make a stop in the Azores and one in the US Virgin Islands, but there will be 7 uninterrupted days at sea. Luckily I have the all you can drink beverage package so I may not remember much of that segment. It should be fun. 0 -

The usual. She has a girlfriend living in Barcelona who had a baby last year, so we will be visiting with the girl and her husband on the night before we set sail for the Med. Frankly, I can think of a dozen better things to do on a Saturday in Barcelona besides sitting around and staring at some brat crawling around on the floor, but I'm stuck [V]. The return trip is 13 days, and because the GF doesn't have that kind of vacation time, I'll be sailing back home solo.0 -

I wouldn?t be at all surprised to find out your accommodations and amenities are somewhat better than the average Navy type sailor.0 -

Have a great time Mark. Barcelona is one of my favorites. I stayed at the Hotel Barcelona Princess two years ago for a week and a good friend flew down from Munich for a couple of days. I was within easy walking distance of the Diagonal Mar, the largest shopping mall in Spain. Great rooftop dining but I spent way too much in that place. My wife and a couple of others love Swarovski crystal. 0 -
I don't imagine we'd have to remind you, but be sure to take lots of pictures so we can live vicariously through you when you get back!![8D]
