I think I found the most irritating thing on the

bpost
internet.

You click on a story to quietly READ the article and your silent study is rudely interrupted by a video clip starting up.

If I wanted to WATCH AND LISTEN to the story I would turn on TV or go to youtube.

I about jump of of my skin when they start to play...

    I hate those too. I have tried a few blockers but they work around them.

    Agree with you, that is why I always have my speakers muted.

    Only turn them on when I want to listen to something.[:)]

    There is usually a speaker icon on the window tab that you can mute just that video. It's located right next to the "X" on the tab.

    The icon only appears during that situation, you won't see it any other time.

    It's the equivalent of IV feeding. It's for those dolts too mentally handicapped to feed themselves via the printed word.

    Not sure if my blockers are working or if I am just not on the right (wrong?) sites, but I have not had that happen. That is a good thing.

    No... The most irritating thing is when you click CLOSE on an add and it opens anyway...
