Memphis Mayor sells the War of Northern Aggression Graves

I don't know if this has been posted....but it seems that the Mayor of Memphis and the city council have done some shady mess lately. They couldn't take down the confederate statues that they desperately wanted gone.....so, they sold the public parks where these were to private companies. Not only are these parks places where statues were, but a the War of Northern Aggression graveyard is there as well....N.B. Forest and his wife's graves are two of the many people burred there.

I don't really care about statues.....but graveyards are different. I don't understand HOW they were able to sell these parks to ANYONE. If everyone got on board and decided all the statues were to be moved to specific locations that would be dedicated to Confederate Memorials that would seem like a good move and a path to make sure historical statues were saved instead of destroyed. You can't undo a cemetery.....not without being the lowest type of human possible.

These people should be ashamed.

    This legal battle is still in progress to my understanding. Then facts of the matter are constantly concealed from the public by the media.

    I think the mayor Memphis and his council have bigger fish to fry. Their city is a chithole of violence and drugs.

    They have gangs and areas where the police only go in teams of 2 cars with 4 officers.

    Gangs run whole subdivisions/neighborhoods.

    They are the #4 most dangerous city in America with a Violent crime rate of 1,583 per 100,000 residents(Detroit, ST Louis and Oakland are ahead)

    Just another failed bl*ck run city.

    I wonder how they would feel if someone messed with graves of their kin folk. I bet it would be all over the news. I would like to see someone dig up some of his family members and dump their remains in the city hall parking lot.
