Court documents show Duran was convicted of domestic abuse in 2014 for assaulting a woman in front of her children. One year later, he was convicted of burglary, coercion and menacing, all constituting domestic violence.
According to investigtors, Duran is supposed to be under supervision until 2021.
Duran was taken to a local hospital after he was shot by police following a stabbing that killed 36-year-old Donald Rivers early Saturday morning.
There's still no word on Duran's condition.
