What double barrel shotguns do you own -
May I ask?
I recently aquirred a Stevens 37A (I've been corrected, it is a "311A") 20 ga. after much consideration and longing, looking for the right firearm. (Thanks Ricci.)
Lock up is super tight. Currently loaded with #4 Heavy field load in the "Full" barrel. Remington "Slugger," slug in the "modified/improved cylinder," barrel. (A House gun.)
What do you have? (Pics would be most appreciated.)
Shooters only please. (No wall hangers.)

Winchester 101 O/U 20ga(my only 20 and its choked Skeet and Skeet)
Winchester 101 O/U 12ga
Ithaca SKB O/U 12ga(My favorite)
Spanish Coach gun 12ga
I have a Springfield M6 in 22lr and .410 if that counts
My Dad loved S/S shotguns and has a bunch; Winchesters and LC Smiths mostly in 16 and 28 ga. He has a few 20ga guns but he was a big fan of the 16 AND 28GA. He owns one 12ga and its a Browning Twelvete its also the only Shotgun that is not a s/s.0 -
well I have my grandfathers Drummond brothers double barrel 12 gauge that I am not afraid to shoot to shoot with low brass. it has just been a while since I have shot it 0 -
Why would anyone want to own a shotgun with more than one barrel?? Just how many barrels are you planning to shoot at one time?? Maybe that made some sense 300 years ago during the War of Northern Aggression we fought with England and Germany but not today. We won by the way and that's why the Queen Mary is in Long Beach Dude. You should buy something with a box magazine like the new Mossberg. You can get a 200 round mag that will work as a mom o pod and steady your aim. Had to sell my 16 gauge Husqvarna Mod 20 earlier this year.
Hopefully, byt this time next year I'll be looking for either a Husqv mod 51 or a Darne in 16 gauge.
I really miss that Mod 20. Took countless dove and feral pigeons as well as a couple of early season roosters with it.
This is the only image I have of it.

Found one in a gun store for $50. Not front sight cause It had been sawed of but was still legal. Had the ends redone and a bead put on.
It had been painted, But had a fantastic looking maple stock on it. Like how it looks after I striped off all the paint.0 -

Ithaca 300 20 ga.
and a Cresset made 'New York Arms' 12 Ga as a wall hanger. Belonged to the father of a dear friend, and the friend is not a gunner. Plus a couple of superposed which are also double barreled after all.0 -

That was the most "Fun" shotgun I've ever owned.
27" barrels choked Full/Fuller (was tighter than X-full because of the fiber wad chokes of its era, 1912). Low pressure, 8000# max chamber pressure, meant low recoil. The load I used was 7/8oz nickel plated 7 1/2's at 1325fps, 7100# chamber pressure so recoil was nearly nonexistent. Both roosters I shot with it were between 25 and 35 yards and both folded like they'd been hit with a bowling pin. Gotta love nickel plated shot.0 -

A cheap Brazilian 12 g that I cherish- my wife gave it to me on our first anniversary in 1971. A Fox Sterlingworth, and a Hopkins and Allen 3rd model hammerless from 100 years ago. I learned to dove hunt with my grandad's Parker, and I still like SXS for birds. 0 -

Last one I had was an old Stevens Model 315. Picked it up at a gun show for $30, missing the forearm, and badly needing a new stock. Both bores were mirror bright, and it locked up tight. Never got a chance to fire it, as a small spring inside the action was broke off, and I never could find a replacement.
The main reason I bought it to begin with was to replicate a gun that I'd lusted after for several years at a local shop; a Stevens 315 that had the barrels lined, and chambered in .45-120. The barrels were cut back to 24 or 26". A poor man's express rifle, I guess you could say.0 -
Stevens 410 Double. It is not a 311. Instead of internal hammers it has straight-line strikers. Very yellowed varnish finish on all metal. Still don't know what model it is. 0 -

Savage 311 .410 purchased from Cartod/Guvmint cheese for Ruff, Blue, and Sage grouse
and a Beretta S56E O/U 12 ga that I picked up Saturday in Helena Montana as a late birthday, early Christmas for my oldest son for a Pheasant gun for him.
I lust over having a 16 ga Model 21, but the ones I find that I like show up when the funds are low and are seemingly absent when funds are available.

I did that with a Spanish made Universal Doublewing years ago. Had it done in 45-70 though, and left the barrels at 28".0 -
