    Texas A&M vs LSU in the Cotton Bowl on Fox TV in about twenty minutes. TAM has a miserable showing in the last thirteen bowl games winning only two while LSU has about as many wins in the same number of appearances. Call it!

    Being able to pick and choose certain teams to play out of various conferences is a better deal than whtat the split confecfrences SEC, ACC, Big-10, and PAC-12 have, and a whole hell of a lot bettetr than what the Big-12 has. With a bad showing by ND today, public opinion that they are as good as a one loss team from such conferences is already suspect and will get much worse than it already is.

    In my confidence pool I put 25 on Clemson... only 17 on Alabama... strictly because of their opponents. OU is a good team... ND? Not so much.

    For the past 15-20 years Notre Dame gets exposed in every big bowl game, I think this will be six straight big bowl blowouts in a row.

    They were very good in the Lou Holtz era, now it?s all past glory and a big fan base that keeps them high in the rankings and in big games.

    In the National Championship Game I?m taking Alabama.

    I've said most of the season that Alabama is the best team I have ever seen, meaning for any one season period. That said, some injuries have surfaced, and they will be challenged.
