What's for breakfast?
Ringing in the New Year late, here, with black eye peas with ham hocks, hot buttered cornbread, rice. Here's to wishing each of you and your loved ones the best new year ever!!!!

For me its scrambled eggs, topped off with salt and pepper, oregano, and romano cheese, thick cut bacon from the butcher, not the store, and hot black coffee. [:)] 0 -
Bacon and eggs over medium, wheat toast and oatmeal sweetened with blueberries and brown sugar 0 -
I fried a couple pieces of seeded rye bread buttered on both sides along with a pair of jumbo chicken eggs over easy. For some meat accompaniment, a pair of split down the middle fat Polish sausage dogs fried until hot, brown, and crispy.
Eggs with their gooey yolks went atop the fried toast, all went joyfully into my stomach![:p]

Two mornings ago, I had this craving for chocolate.[:0]
I had a bag of those little mixed Hershey squares that I bought half price after Christmas. Ate about 10 of em and my craving was quenched!
That was it for that breakfast and I did enjoy most but I'm not a big fan of those Mr. Goodbar with the peanuts! The imitation Nestle's Crunch bar that Hershey calls Krackle are darn good though![:p]
Strong straight black coffee and chocolate aren't too bad of a mix![:)]0 -
Wife made the leftover Christmas pot roast into hash yesterday. Today, I heated the leftover leftover with some salsa and piled it on a flour tortilla, topped with a pair of sunny-up eggs and a few dashes of Crystal hot sauce. Third cup of coffee on the side and followed it up with a small orange. Yuuuuumy!
Have to decide if I want some spiral-sliced ham or the Boxing Day smoked turkey for my lunch sandwich. If there's any rye bread, it'll be the ham, with some Swiss and good hot stoneground mustard.0 -
This A.M....around 0800 ish hrs. 01/01/'19... I went around looking under the "party table" from last nights, get together, just checking for any "still alive and semi-kicking" guys/girls, whom didn't make it home from last nights New Years Eve party !!!..
I found a few plates of half-eaten "party treats" from last nights gala affair and some room warm, half finished beers, cans/bottles, some with cigarette butts/ashes in them. YUMMMYY !!!
So, I'm cleaning up, and you know what...I just decided to pull me up a chair, have a seat at the main dining room table and clean-up / eat-up the eats/drinks that was left over / found, and didn't look as if the cat had thrown it up... H**LS-BELLS, I paid for it all, food / drinks, etc., so nothing goes to waste now. !!!!!
And, a drum roll please, for this mornings lovely dessert, a half-smoked Cuban cigar butt, with the tip still being moist !!

Okay, I can take a hint...Here ya go, Bro, one version in a million on the bandwagon of Why We Eat Black-Eyed Peas and Collard Greens on New Years ? So...Start the New Year off right with some black eye peas, cornbread and rice! Then break out that seegar butt and play King of the Road!!!!!! [:D]
