Been to CR several times, fun place.

I wish I was in Panama what a great place. I was stationed there for 5 years in the 90's not to mention many trips there to train in the 80's.

I lived on both sides and I must say I enjoyed the Atlantic side a little more.

On the Pacific side I lived on Clayton but worked Ft Kobbe. The drive across the Bridge was a nightmare sometimes, now they have another bridge it must not be too bad.

I had some great times there, my wife would go back in a heart beat to live she loved it.

    Need more information:
You will meet many pretty Costa Rican women (AKA ticas) in cities such as San Jose and Jaco, but you should be aware of the fact that many of these pretty girls are prostitutes (both professional and semi-professional). It?s easy to understand what professional prostitutes are doing, so let me explain what semi-professional prostitutes are doing here.

    What are they doing there?

Don?t go to massage parlours in Costa Rica and expect to have a massage.

What, do they just take your money and no massage?

Spent part of one day there last year when I took a cruise through the Panama Canal. From that very brief observation I got the impression that Costa Rica is the best off of all the Central American countries but it also appears to be the most expensive if you wanted to live there.

I had a nice time in CR, but it is always nice to get home to Panama City and into my own home. I have a lot of business to attend to but I hope to do a bit of traveling around Panama. I hope that all of you have a wonderful Fourth of July.

When I was in Costa Rica I was surprised by the steel bar doors and concertina wire around shop doors. Also the shotgun armed guards inside many store. One guard had a really cool stainless shotgun. When I got back I bought one like it.

I didn't see anything like that. Porto Rico looked scarier than any Central American country I have been in.

You mean Costa Rica. If so when were you there and where?

Cities in Central and South America are 10% (or less) Nice the other 90% is various degrees of not so nice to dangerous.

Then again, parts of California is more or less a ****hole and the entire state ranks in last place for quality of living.

Maxine Waters' district is THE worst place to live in America

As I mentioned earlier I was only there for part of one day. I took a cruise through the Panama Canal last year & we stopped in two ports in Mexico & one each in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica & Columbia.I went on tours in all but Mexico. That obviously is only a small sample of the countries but what I saw of Costa Rica looked very nice.
Now I have to ask on what do you base your judgement of Maxine Water's district? The area I lived in before I retired twenty years ago is in her district & at least at that time was a very nice place to live.
