Buying a 16 Ga Browning BPS Fields Grade. Hope it's a good shotgun. Always wanted a pump 16 ga. With interchangeable chokes.

My Dad was a life long bird hunter(Dove and Quail). I mean he lived for it.
We had Bird dogs and and he had hunting rights on numerous farms in GA.
He was a huge believer in the 16ga. It was his second most favorite shotgun. He thought the 28ga was the best all around but if he had to go "big" he grabbed a 16.
He loved SxS guns but would give a Semi Auto the nod. When I started hunting he got me a Browning A5 16ga. It was a good gun and it broke his heart when I got a 870 pump 12ga[:D] he lat time I went hunting with him and I had a Benelli SBE II with plastic stocks I thought he would cry but I am a duck hunter 1st.
I think you will enjoy the 16ga, they look like they are making a comeback.
My Dad said it was all about the shot string length vs width. He said when the 12ga went to 2 3/4 it ruined the shot string.0 -

You mean the post where I asked "Older Members," their opinion on this firearm prior to its purchase? Or the subsequent research I did on the firearm prior to raising my bid? Please.
This was a post of one Member proudly proclaiming the purchase of a new Firearm to his collection. My response was of the same genre.

A SXS is a gun with two barrels placed along side each other.
A 20ga is a shotgun shell/cartridge smaller than a 12ga or 16ga, but larger than a 28ga or .410
Study this real hard and get educated - there will be a 10 question test tomorrow ! [:D]0 -

You'll like it. Other than the Winchester Model 12 they're my next favorite shotguns.
Sweet 16 made in 1954 at the bottom of the photo and a 20 ga. magnum made in 1973 on top in the photo.

I have heard good things about Browning Shotgun. I handle some but never shot one before, even my father likes to get his hands on it.
