With all of the banning going on; mostly conservative, pro constitution users and a few nutcases like Alex Jones, I have a question for you.

I only go there to check up on close family members. I never post, just lurk. I recon SPY is a better word than lurk. My 4 grown sons are all there and I keep up with what they are up to and into. Their wives and kids as well. If I see something of interest or have any advice to share I will call them on my dumb phone.

I have wondered the same thing ! I refuse to even partake in social media! if you can not talk to me face to face or live on the phone , we dont have any reason to talk! It may be my age but I remember less complicated times. this forum and a couple of others are as far as it goes for me. my world is busy enough without the drama of all the facebook crap I keep hearing about. even though I guess you can find all the inspirational quotes you need to get through all that drama crap! I am only on Facebook because my old Navy Squadron is on Facebook and I can keep up-to-date on their activities. The Squadron's Facebook page is the only place on Facebook that I go. 0 -
People are talking about MeWe as it is something to replace Facebook for the users that are not happy with it lately. I haven't checked it out. 0 -
i use facebook for the "social" aspect, staying in touch with scattered family and friends. i am not in it to play politics, the dirtiest, nastiest, most revolting activity known to man. 0 -
I spend entirely too much time on FB. Several reasons...
The politics: while I know that rants and posts will not win an argument, ever... but I feel that if the conservative side doesn't stand up and call BS, then they'll figure that no one opposes them. I don't post many of the memes (or whatever...) but I do throw a few details. I know, but the right needs to have a seat at the table.
For the rest: out here in rural WV, there's no real {elsewhere} activity. If I want to buy or sell something, FB groups is pretty much my only choice. Also, my gun group's (WVCDL), my USMC, my woodworker, my CNC contacts are FB groups.
Sure, I'd love to give FB the finger and use another form of "social media," but until mewe gets a hellova lot bigger, most of my world reside on the libtard media.0 -
I only use it to keep it touch with friends and relatives scattered across the country. Anything that comes across such as adds, political stuff, and supposed news I ignore. My information there is at a bare minimum, no work places or people tagged as family. I never get involved with the information collecting polls or games. Anything that looks important with friends and family is done by phone. 0 -
I have zero online facebook presence or history ever...
I know that makes me a social leper and a Luddite but I don't trust them...
I have much family they uses it to stay connected and updated as its the easiest most in your face user friendly way to do so - I get it
But I do not trust them and their behavior only gets worse with each passing day.
The girls both still use it heavily - but have now changed settings and altered permissions so only known and preregistered or approved users can see or reply to their stuff - not most of the general public
They cannot be separated from it but have picked up some of my habits or viewpoints and are now much more protected and concealed and cautious

I really wonder about some of the supposed banning's. I'm on there for family and believe it or not 2A groups so I can keep up with what is going on in Oregon. Tried MeWe But right now there is very little activity going on. You would think with the groups I am part of I would already be banned. 0 -

See several places that think everyone is a FB member and you have to be a FB user to enter some Cabela's and Bass Pro contests. Damn shame.
Kinda in same category that the medical organizations don't give a rat's axs how far away you live from them when scheduling appointments, they think everyone lives next door.
(and hell they cannot even find your medical records and they always use the excuse, we are in process of going to a new system is why we are having issues with all RIGHT NOW)
Some of them medical office employees could not even find their own Axe with both hands. (and when you arrive for your appointment 30 min's before time (per their request) and find it has been cancelled and you get home and find a voice mail the receptionist left notifying of such 30 min before your scheduled appointment time)
If they ask me who to call for emergency notification, I tell them to write this down and keep it readily accessible in their file. For me PLEASE CALL 911.[;)]0 -

This is an exchange from yesterday. A 16 year old girl didn't have 15? to pay for her lunch on the first day of school. The lunch room cashier didn't give her a lunch. Of course, I take the side of personal responsibility while the bleeding hearts take the loser side:
