Need advice on deer in my yard

They bring ticks into the yard and the dogs bring the ticks into the house. I would like to spray for the ticks but don't want to put out poison for the deer to eat.
Is there any suggestions for lawn treatment that is safe for deer and dogs out there?
I have one doe with twins and one doe with triplets. They are cool to watch.

    get you a flock of Guinea fowl..let them roam and you will be bug free. plus have the best guard/alarm system ever made.

    There are pesticides you spray that are made for ticks. Spraying season is April-May.

    Get Advantix and put on the dogs. This eliminates eggs and the cycle is broken

    I can't see on your profile where you live.
    I was living in central Georgia with fire ants galore.
    So I killed a dozen fire ant mounds in the yard, like everybody does.
    And then my cats started bringing all kinds of ticks in to the house.

    I asked myself, "What do fire ants eat?"
    I figured they eats bugs. Ticks.

    So I let the fire ants return, and like magic all the ticks were gone in a year.

    So, if you can, let the fire ants flourish they like to eat ticks.

    I would think it would be just the opposite. If deer are in your yard the ticks would get on the deer instead of deer bringing them in. I doubt a tick is going to jump off of a deer once he's attached.

    when they are full, they drop off....then lay eggs and more ticks start crawling around and jump on dogs and people.
