Good Karma VS Idiots
I took my 15' Gruman Sport Canoe out today on the local lake.
I got a different pitch prop that I was wanting to try out on my 3.5 hp Tohatsu.
It is a 6 instead of a 7.
It was half price so I bought it .
I lost 1 mph with it.
I'll use it for the spare.
Anyway, I was cruising along and coming up on the beach.
I spot a beach ball in the middle of the lake.
I notice a guy sitting on the beach boundary rope waving his arms like a mad man.
I wave at him and head to the ball.
I pick it up and head towards him.
I deliver the ball and he appears to be a grade school drop out. A total and complete idiot.
He thanked me and tried to get back to the beach with it.
I notice he both trying to either swim with it in front of him and then also using it as a float. I'm not 50' away when I notice it got away from him and he was chasing after it.
He got to it and I'm just shaking my head thinking, deflate it, swim back to shore, then blow it up for your kids.
No since dieing for a $1 ball.
I go on my boat ride and pass back by 1 hour later.
Same idiot waving his arms like a madman.
I look to the south, at the bank a half mile away and, yep, there is the ball.
I wave back to him and keep my course.
I figured I got enough good karma the first time I saved the ball.
No need piling on the good karma all I one day. [;)]
