Leather wraps for lever guns.

    I have never used them but have saw some nice looking ones

    one of the guys I deer hunt with has one on his lever gun

    I've bought a couple that had the wrap those levers were pretty rusty when I removed the wrap.

    For that reason I have avoided them especially if it is going to be a gun that sees bad weather

    I was referring to the leather wraps on the wood stock of the rifle

    don't remember seeing the others

    Thats the trouble after working all night I mis took what Oakie was asking I had purchased a couple lever guns where someone had braided leather on the levers one I was able to save the other I ended by a new lever for It was rusted pretty bad otherwise the gun was in great shape

    Never tried leather, but turkey would be good. Get the munchies on the deer stand, you could nibble on your rifle.

    Wait- what? Oh- never mind.....

    Make sure the leather doesn't interfere with the lever coming all the way up to release the trigger block on a Winchester 94.

    Leather on blued steel is like storing pistols in leather holsters: bad idea the chemicals in the leather corrode the steel. Leather on wood is much less problematic, but do remove the leather and clean wood and leather so built up grit does not mar the finish.>

    I have this butt stock cartridge carrier on my 45-70.

    Its from 7X leather.

    well that one above holds extra cartridges

    some of them make stock fit your face better

    and some just look good
