I don't feel sorry for anyone that waited for a crisis to decide they need a gun to defend themselves. It is what it is.

Everyone hasn't been in a position to buy a firearm and ammo prior to this time. Some people are just coming of age, some didn't have the funds before, others are making sacrifices in other areas to try to buy a firearm. Most people aren't raised with a firearm at hand all the time. Things happen that cause people to realize they should have a firearm. Well things happened, riots, protest etc. people seeing these things and making a decision they need a firearm doesn't make them slackers , idiots or other irresponsible things. It just means they reached that conclusion on their own time frame based on their own experiences and observations.

Sure, if you shoot regular and didn't stock up some while prices were normal that's a lack of foresight, laziness or what ever. But deciding to buy a firearm based on what you see going on and finding supplies limited isn't any of those things.

Funny, we encourage firearm ownership and then when people make that decision some of us disparage them for not making it sooner.

I guess we'll have to agree to see things differently. Maybe demographics related, but the only people I have seen scouring gun counters locally are well past the newbie age. They seem to be on a mission, and it may be scalping, or hoarding, either one it's their decision.

From the conversations I've heard over the last six months, the reasoning has been first, the Wong Flu, and now the POTUS elect.

Where am I disparaging anyone for not making a decision earlier??? The original post was simply stating that a lot of newbies are not reading what they are buying. Point blank says "reading comprehension" in the post. They bid or buy something and then b**ch about thinking they were getting something else. How difficult is that to comprehend?

Hoarding... I call it being prepared. Just scored on two more auctions on GB... ammo is a great investment

Ammo was a great investment a while back. Now?? Well if things get bad enough maybe, but I think just like in 2013 the ammo supply will catch up with demand in a few months. It's like any other commodity, you make your money when you buy it.

You weren't, seems I drifted from your subject. I was addressing a theme that keeps popping up which wasn't what you were discussing at all.

I believe Scout was addressing my comment. I made a generalized statement, and it obviously doesn't apply to every buyer on the internet. I wonder if all of these unfortunate souls are purchasing this over priced merchandise with their 1.5K cell phone?🙃
