First pistol, I ever shot was a Colt M1903 in .32ACP ... US PROPERTY NIB !

FMJ is a wee bit anemic, but Hornady XTP is another story ...

At the large Phoenix shows. There are usually a couple of guys, selling exotic homemade ammo like this. Whether it actually works I don't know? As it's pretty spendy. Buck a round or more?

The 32 ACP ammo. Is short range personal protection ammo. Only use I can envision for incendiary tracer, would be signaling. Like the W W II, 45 ACP's, tracers issued to pilots.

That's strange because that was the first pistol I ever shot!

While your choice of words is apropos with regard to energy, I dare anyone to stand in front of one while someone else pulls the trigger. Proper placement and you will will end your days.

    Best.

It's gonna burn when the drugged-out libtard inserts it in a place where you can no longer reach it.

Depends on venue but I carry a 32acp at times and feel safe with doing so. As the loudmouths at the local shop would say, you "going to get someone mad". OK, I will try you first , then mayhem starts about this and that. Anymore, I just say, yea, ok.

The little .32 is anemic. But it was designed for one thing: To kill a man.

    And it will do it.

I worked hundreds of GSW as a paramedic. I saw several people killed with the .32

I even saw one guy killed with the really anemic .25 semi auto. His wife emptied the mag at him, put one bullet through the lamp, put two through the door, put one in the refrigerator, put one in the floor.

And she put one right on his left bicep. Little hole looked like a smallpox vaccination. It missed the arm bone, the humerus, if exited the arm, it entered the chest under the armpit, it missed the rib, and it went right into his heart.

Dead Right There. We did CPR, and I could count on CPR, it was 99 percent reliable, I mean, I could count on it not to work 99 percent of the time, and it didn't work in this case either.

If the little bullet had hit the humerus or the rib it would not have had the energy to get to the heart.

I see guys online making fun of the little .22 LR . The words of ignorance.

Don't even get me started on the .22 LR I saw more people killed with it than any other round.

I don't want to get shot with a paint ball much less .22. .32, Etc. Stopping power is great but shot placement is greater, if you miss with a .44 Magnum it matters not how much stopping power it has :)

    As noted who volunteers LOL

I worked as an EMT as well and the 22rf was very deadly.

The problem is, it was seldom instant death. That's where larger, faster bullets really shine.

And the double-tap with any caliber should be the rule.

I saw Rick Blaine shoot Major Heinrich Strasser, one time, with what appeared to be a 1903 Colt .32, and Strasser fell dead.

I have a 1903 Colt that is just so cute, and feels so good in my hand, I can't bear to part with it.

Don't even think of parting with it, it's a fine piece of machinery!

I'll be dead and gone before I part with mine. Nickel with pearl grips manufactured in 1920. It was my grandma's nightstand gun. Probably hasn't had 100 rounds put through it.

Teddy Roosevelt liked it. He equipped the whole NYPD 32 COLT revolvers.. James Bond started carrying A Walther PPK in 7.65 auto after his .25acp Beretta failed him. Hitler loved his PPK in 7.65 ''TO DEATH''

    Yep !

I have a Beretta 81 in 32acp. I like it. I don't think I would carry it as a self defense gun but I would not hesitate to shoot someone with it if it was all I had.

It was an Italian police gun and the guy who had it before me made sure it was damn sure zero'ed in. It hits right where I put the sight and I have shot several animals with it, all were killed very fast. I like the gun and I like the caliber and as said before it was made to kill people.

I think Hitler killed himself with one so it must be good for something.

Many years ago I carried a Beretta Tomcat (32).

A big ole retard was harassing the women he worked with (my wife included) until they were all in tears and quitting.

Their employer was ignoring the situation.

I cut myself a 2-foot piece of closet rod and was on my way to have a "talk" with the guy when I remembered I was carrying a .32! It felt extremely puny.

I went back in the house and swapped it for a J-frame 357.

(BTW, he was very reasonable about his behavior after I explained the situation in terms he understood.)

But, since that day, I always ask myself this question before leaving the house:

"Do I have adequate self defense equipment for whatever I may encounter today?"

    I sold that Tomcat!

Bustedknee, you probably would have been fine had you had some of the above ammo that has the capability of setting the miscreant on fire. It will not only poke tiny holes in the perp but will then light him up from the inside out 💥 or, if he's wearing a heavy coat, may at least catch the fabric on fire causing him great distress.

To each his own, but if I need a handgun to stop someone intent on killing me, I want something better than a .32 anything. And no I don't want to get shot with one, (silly ass argument) but given the choice between that and a round of .40 S&W I will take the .32. In something like a .32 Keltec as a" bathing suit gun" maybe, but not for edc.

l'd like to pass on another TRUE story of the very first successful 32Auto used by one of the greatest Statesmen EVER.

Young Lt Winston Churchill of Kitchener's 21st Lancers purchased a new C96 Mauser in .30 Mauser because he had

left his 455 cal Webley revolver at home. Churchill was on his way to fight the Dervish @Omdurman in the Sudan 1898.

The C96 Mauser was the first successful Auto Pistol, a top loader 10 shot on stripper clips. During the battle Lt Churchill

and his company were attacked by sword wielding Dervish Cavalry in a shallow ravine. ln 2 short minutes Churchill sent

5 enemy to meet 72Virgins. Lt Churchill said those were the longest 2 minutes of life. Had he taken his six shot revolver

he may not have survived🎱 30Mauser is no wimp. A 73gr FMJ@1400fps makes it almost a MAGNUM. Always wanted one

One more POST please.. Reason Churchill was using his Broom Handle Mauser instead of swinging a sword was due to an

old painful shoulder injury that plagued him the rest of his life. Even tho Sir Winston failed to mention it l believe he would

would agree to That old warning, ''Dont Bring A Knife to a GUNFIGHT''🙄

My Colt 1903 has taken more lives than I can count. The buzzards hover around my house every day during the summer looking for their latest meal.

I read once that a stone from a sling would kill a giant but I think I will stay with at least a 9mm.

  • Butchdog2

If you remeber the story about the stone and sling you will find that shot placement, skill, and faith were key elements for the success of the young man.

Still no reason to give any advantage to an enemy.

The stone only knocked Goliath to the ground.. David then took the giant's sword and chopped is head off😲
