What's For Christmas Dinner?
Here, the wife and I will finally be enjoying the frozen over-sized turkey I bought before Thanksgiving.
Yes! It took that long to thaw the massive bird following the directions of placing from freezer to refrigerator!
Just a little kidding there but that trick never did work the way directions say it should. I did put the turkey in the fridge on Sunday and found by Wednesday it was still harder than a brick! Got out and dusted off my BIG cooler and submerged it in cold water. Thursday morning after a good 24 hours it was finally thawed!
Anyway, that is going to be our Christmas dinner this year and along with the pork sausage stuffing made from a recipe from my mom, the eats should be quite tasty!
Love to know what you all will be dining on this fine Christmas day! And hope it will be a Merry one for each and everyone of you!

The meat was phenomenal (looked pretty much just like yours!) but my 2X bakers didn't look as good as yours. They didn't get browned on top. Did you hit 'em with the broiler for a minute or so? Our plates aren't near as fancy either!
We sent 3 plates of food up to the police department last night for the two officers and the dispatcher that were on duty. One of them texted my wife and said he was about to go into a meat coma after his big ol' slice of prime rib. Gonna take a pumpkin pie up today for 'em.
The wife made them the night before and reheated them in the air fryer. It crisped them up nicely!
That's awesome that you brought meals to those serving us. I imagine the appreciation that made them feel. What a great idea!
