looks like a nice one from here I bet it does well on the auctions

they are really a handy little rifle for home defense , 5 ,15 or 30 round mags made them a good choice back before the AR craze and just fun to shoot I bought a universal brand knock off about 1974 or so ( Woolworth for 79.00 I think it was ) even took it to school for a show and tell day .. times were different as we all know

then about 1984 give or take a few years I bought a underwood made one at a local gun show its decent shape . my youngest son has already staked clams on it years ago . next time I get it out for its twice a year cleaning and inspection I will most likely just give it to him along with the goods that go with it

Pretty difficult to get a nice M1 Carbine for less than $800. (Even a while back.)

I made a trade of a Rem 7600 (?) semi-auto .30-.06, thumb hole stock, converted to 10 rnd removable mags, for my friends M1 Carbine about 4-5 years ago. We were both very happy.

As noted, a very handy house gun.

    That's a nice Carbine Ricci.

I got a nice service grade Inland from the Civilian Marksmanship Program over 10 years ago; seems like it was $500.00 plus shipping. The CMP got a number of them back from Italy and put them up for sale. They went fast. I still have it. Well, I almost do; when Deb saw it and shot it she decided that it should be hers. I expect it'll be around for a long time. Neat little gun.

I'm still waiting for the one I have on order from the DCM. When they first got some for the CMP I sent them an E-Mail asking if they would honor the old $20 price for those of us with the back-order forms. The reply I got was they appreciated my sense of humor. They then added that if I included a copy of these E-Mails & a copy of the back-order form they would see that I got a special hand pick but at the new price. I ordered a rack grade on the first day & it looks fine to me so maybe I got an upgrade. The manufacturer's name is partly hidden under the rear sight but I can see INL on the left side & DIV on the right. I think that means INLAND DIV. At least no Blue Sky mark anywhere. It does have a bayonet lug.

This one is doing very well Ricci. Still a chance for someone to score a very nice carbine.

I was issued an M1 Carbine in the service, and we shot the snot out of them. They never wanted to check the unused ammo back in so told us to shoot it up. We shot them till the barrels had to be ready to melt LOL.

Can anyone explain why the brass pin is between the sling / oiler slot and the butt plate (both sides), it doesn't seem to be a damaged area, I've never seen one in that location before ?

It looks like he registered just to bid on the carbine. Why anyone would pull this crap is beyond my comprehension. I guess you are getting used to it unfortunately, but it sure would pi$$ me off. Good luck with the relisting. Bob

Just the cost of doing business. Now I have to explain to the family how this works , relist and ask GB to credit my fees.

  • NeoBlackdog

    That just sucks! Sorry, Ricci.

Hopefully GB will bar him from an further shenanigans.

  • Ruger4me

Sorry Ricci, but at least you had some other more reliable bidders that hopefully will bid again.

  • Sam06

I don't get how you bid on a gun or anything and then renege on it.

I see you have it relisted and its doing good. Hopefully it will get some good bidders who will pay.
