    I am easily confused so your post has me scratching my head a bit. If you could give us a link to the auction you are bidding on maybe we could give you an educated answer.

    Your wording has left me totally confused. Post a link to the auction, or provide the auction number, so that we can read for ourselves what the listing actually said.

    I have been to auctions (not GB) where there are multiples of an item.

    Since a buyer may only want 1 of the items it is bid for 1 item. However, the winning bidder is allowed to multiply his winning bid by the number of items he wishes to purchase.

    Usually, if the winning bidder does not take all the items, they are offered to the next bidder, (at the bid price) then the next bidder, etc. until all items are sold or no more buyers are interested.

    That what it sounds like here.

    Looks like we need to see the auction to answer your question. On another note, if the auction isn't clear on what and how much is being sold I would pass to the next one. There shouldn't be a guessing game going on.
