I tried the smoke bombs a couple of times to no avail, they kept piling dirt up. Sooooo, I dug down and set two Victor traps. Next morning, I look out and see that things look different than the way I left them. Went out to check, and one of the neighbor's dogs (tracks everywhere) had dug a BIG hole, tripped both traps, and had apparently took the gopher out of the trap! While doing so, he/she tore both traps up. I hope it got stabbed by the trap in the process! Now I'm down to 2 traps, the dog cost me $14 and a backfill job.

    Would be if I knew which dog it was for sure. Maybe I should get bigger traps? 🐕️

    Wanna bet? I need to buy some Victor stock, at $14 per varmint, this is going to get expensive!!! 🤬

    Had a similar problem, got a bull snake. Problem solved.

    Gophers be gophers and dogs be dogs. Buying more traps helps support the economy, and, you got rid of one gopher.
