he dog you lost me with that

went scouting this afternoon again seen 2 smaller bucks and about 15 mule deer does since rifle season just ended couple weekends ago id be surprised if the big one ive seen is still around but none the less just scouting and checking things out in the rough county is very enjoyable esp with the extremely nice weather weve been having in the 40's for high's and 50's tues but then down into the 20's and single digit lows for a couple day sure cant complain about that at all in these parts

Been there several times. A friends lives in Gettysburg. Not this year, but most years we bird hunt a place west of the river, 5000 acres of deeded land surrounded by reservation. There are some nice mule deer in the area. Perhaps one year I'll apply and be lucky enough to draw a tag. If I lived there I think I would hunt some of the corps land, accessing it from the river by boat.

A couple of years ago I visited the first week of June and the fishing on the Missouri was great, despite high water. A couple of days we fished white bass below the dam at Pierre.

I'm just outside of Fort Smith, but enjoy duck/upland/deer hunting in SD and Nebraska. We'll be staying in Valentine, NE next week. We usually head across the line to the Rosebud Casino for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Awesome country you get to enjoy there.
