oh the good old days LOL

local paper in the small town I grew up in always has a out of the past article

I read it on line now but over the years some funny stuff ( to me any way )

this was one of them 125 yrs ago in todays

"December 15, 1895

J.A. Throckmorton, D.D.S., advises that he has provided incandescent light by which all kinds of dental operation can be made at night as well as during the day. Gold fillings inserted by electricity, free of pain. Teeth extracted for 25 cents until further notice. "


this one I will always remember one I always remember was the sheriff from about 1910-20 or so so telling every one to stop spotlighting rabbits in town with the then new " car head lights " people were getting up set being awaken by gun shots in there front yards by people hunting and shooting rabbits in town

one more I remember from about the same time frame was a whole article on when the thief was spotted and lost

was the sheriff was shooting at and chasing a (chicken ) yep chicken thief thief thru town but lost him when they got into the country LOL chickens were a lot more important back then I guess

I always think wow shooting possibly killing a chicken thief and now shooting a murder suspect is looked down on

    I read an article in a 1907 newspaper from a local town that the next hangings included a person convicted of burning someones barn.
