    Yep, you did good. I bought a Colt SAA “Arizona Centennial “ made in 1963 for $1000. Unfired in the display box. Colt commemoratives are usually made as good or better than standard production, imho.

    I like to get commemorative models that have been fired but are in excellent shape. The value of those crash to below standard gun levels.

    About 10 or 12 years ago I got a Colt .22 Alamo commemorative which had a cylinder drag line and was missing the cylinder pin. Got it for $325, put a standard cylinder pin in it and had a very fancy-looking plinker. At that time they were maybe 5 or 6 hundred bucks NIB.

    You got a better deal but I like to buy guns I can shoot if I want to.
