Friggin' smoke alarm started chirping at 3:30 am...... worst part is packing the 8' ladder up the stairs for the vaulted ceiling...

I was outside and heard a chirping, started wandering listening, thinking it was a septic alarm. Checked one neighbor, went down to the next neighbor, she’s 88 and lives alone. Sure nuff it was coming from her place. I headed for her control box to manually cycle it and realized the chirp was coming from her bushes??? So I hunted around and found a smoke alarm down in a bush. It had started chirping and she didn’t know how to shut it off 😂

I would go in peoples houses when I worked for the phone company and hear smoke alarms chirping. Drives me crazy. Apparently some people let them go forever and dont mind.

I had to replace one of mine this fall. I went with the combo CO and smoke with the 10 year battery I think it was around 35-40 bucks.
