Every so often I will run into someone and they will say "We went to school together".I usually reply that they must be mistaken,I didnt go to school with any old people.

Becoming a "Geezer" is a great honor for me! I knew far too many that will never have the chance. 😔

What astounds me is the aging process of my classmates. Some are like fine wines, others like grapes left on the vine. Lol. One of my classmates owns the local bowling alley. #1 and her spousal unit were amazed we were the same age.

In my mind I'm still a robust 30 something until I jump out of the back of my truck and my knees remind me I'm not.

Lucky for me I have matured well like a fine wine . I encounter many classmates from my youth who have apparently been “ rode hard and put up wet “! And have more wrinkles than a topological map of the Smokey mountains

I have found that I am a lot younger than people my age were 50 years ago.

Holy crap! How old are they now?

Fortunately with age comes wisdom. I am now smart enough to know my 30 year old maturity can have detrimental effects on my 65 year old body. Wise enough to override the stupid impulse of "yeah I can do that!" at least half of the time. 😊 Bob

I have learned that also, though I don't trust most of the people I know to hold my beer and not drink it........

You know what really stinks, is to be with a bunch of people having fun jumping in the river and chasing around, then stop and think "hey, I'm the old guy". All these 20-something guys doing cannonballs, kids chasing them, I'm in the mix but not quite keeping up the pace, and it occurs to me ... I'm the one with grey hair. The ONLY one. I'm the old fart.

That sucks. Big time. Inside my head I'm still 28 and have the world by the tail.

I'm just thankful that I can still hold my own beer! 🙂

A few years back while I was still contracting I was on a job with a bunch of kids (20 and 30 somethings) that kept teasing me about my age and I realized that I'd become the 'old hand' on the site. I'd become the guy I used to tease about his age! Every time one of those kids needed advice on how to do something who did they come to, though? Yep, the 'old guy'! ME!

Funny thing I see myself as 18, whenever I see "older" people I never see myself that old. My wife and kids have started reminding me I am older now too!

It starts by not remembering to zip your pants back up.

It progresses to not zipping down your pants to begin with.

What were we talking about? 🤔

You know your friends think you are old  when you trip and fall they rush over to help instead of having a good laugh and handing you a fresh beer.

I'm a few years shy of 50, but my knees feel like they're 80, too much fun in my youth I guess.

My Father always looked young for his age, and I also have all these years. When someone asks me how old I am, I ask them how old they think I am, they usually guess about 20 years too young.

When I had my colonoscopy I met the Dr for the first time right before the procedure. He introduced himself, kind of looked me over then said "You're too young to have a colonoscopy". Then he looked at his paperwork, got a sheepish look on his face and said "no you're not". Then he asked me how I managed to look so young. I told him "good genes", he said "good answer". 😉
