For a USRAC rifle, that is a fine example, I would like to see a clear straight on shot of the barrel address, but the photos are otherwise outstanding. Makes me wish I did not have a few...

To me any lever gun chambered in a 30-30 is a weapon made for todays desire for a self defense weapon. Are you really that better armed if you have an AR in your hands?? 30-30 hits way harder, quick second shot and lets be honest, in a home invasion type of scenario how often do you need more than 5 shots?? I would almost bet you wouldn't need the second shot.
Imagine armed intruders coming down your hall to your bedroom. You heard them coming so you are at your bedroom door, ready. You fire one round at the intruders in that confined space. I'm guessing the roar, muzzle flash and muzzle blast combined means you can miss the intruders but in seconds you will have no intruders in your house as they are sprinting down the street screaming with their hands pressed over their ears!! I always liked the saying that the lever action is the original assault rifle!!

I've got a rhurty thurty that is a 1964 serial number but has some 65 parts. (just the opposite of this one) I thought it was all pre 64 until a Winchester specialist pointed out the crossover parts difference. Think the difference was in the wood inletting to the receiver maybe.
Mine looks like that one only better. Shot very little. I need to dig it out of the back of the safe and dust it off. You would not believe how consistently accurate at 100 yards from a bench rest. I installed a low power no drill and tap leupold scope.
Also got it competition mate by Remington, the 141 pump in 35 caliber.
Lots of hand fitting of the parts in the 141.

Ricci, I always like reading your auction descriptions. You make an effort to be informative as well as keeping it interesting and not dry and boring. I'm sure this helps with getting the best bucks for the bang. Bob

I've seen some old Marlins, lever action really nice looking old guns, some had the ivory bead front sight.
